Twins

Age: 25 when I conceived, 26 at delivery

Cycle Info: 28 day cycle, almost always ovulation on CD 14

Tracking: Cycles were pretty regular and I always knew when I ovulated because I have intense flank pain. I didn't do the smart thing and track my cycles before I started, I just jumped right into trying. I didn't temp, or track anything else like CM or cervical appearance. Did use OPK's and CBFM when I was AI'ing.

Vitamins, Rituals, etc: Just prenatal vitamins.

Method: First two cycles I used 3 vials and used one at a time, once a day after the OPK came up positive. (I had never been on the chat board before trying and didn't know about special timing.) The third month I never had a peak so I had to send my swimmer back! The fourth month I tried the CBFM and only 2 vials to save on some cash. I AI'd on CD 14 since I thought I always O'd that day CBFM had 'high' fertility but not peak) and then again on CD 16 (early morning), still no peak but I didn't want to send my swimmers back again. I didn't O until CD 18 (late night) that month!! (Have no idea how I ended up with a BFP!)

Symptoms: About a week after AI just didn't feel right but the biggest symptom was sore breasts. I couldn't even cross my arms without having pretty significant tenderness.

The Test(s):  Tested 14 days after O with a BFN. Tested everyday but didn't get my BFP until 17 days after ovulation. I was sure I wasn't pregnant by then.

The Stats:  Used donor 733. Nausea started at 8 weeks and the vomiting didn't end until delivery. Found out I was having twins at 10 weeks  I was hospitalized 5 times with dehydration, and taken out of work at 6 months so I could receive home IV therapy. I lost 40lbs! On February 14th I delivered my twins at 36 1/2 weeks. Both healthy weighing 5lbs 8oz and 6lbs 8oz, a boy and girl.

I know since I was so screwy the month I got pregnant that this probably won't help anyone trying to get pregnant but I thought I would post to give people hope that you don't have to do everything perfect to get your wanted result.

Age: 29

Cycle Info: Cycles vary in length, ovulation day also varies and typically shorter LP (10-12 days). Conceived on my second cycles, using 2 vials each time.

Tracking: Purchased membership to Fertility Friend. Tracked using CBFM, OPK's, temps, CM, CP and also added Saliva Scope to the cycle which I got pregnant on.

Vitamins, Rituals, etc: Just prenatal vitamins.

Method: First cycle I inseminated on CD 14 and 16 but I never completely surged and I don't think I ended up ovulating. This cycle ended up being an extra long 34 days with a BFN. The next cycle I inseminated on CD 17 right at the positive OPK and surge on the CBFM. I believe I O'd on CD18.

Symptoms: At 4dpo I vomitted for virtually no reason. Yes, way too early for symptoms, but what else could it have been By 12dpo very sore breasts and fatigue.

The Test(s):  BFP at 11dpo

The Stats:  Was able to use the same donor, donor 733. Nausea started right away with this pregnancy. Although not as bad as with the twins, still pretty intense. Fatigue much more of an issue with this one. At 18 weeks found out I was carrying another boy. Currently dealing with low lying placenta and cord issues.

For me it seems that early insemination works well. I think if I had waited until 24-36 hours after surge it would have been to late for me.
