Topic: Insert form Stacie5 blog..

I cut this from Stacie private blog.  Her little girl needs those prayers again.  Since I had posted for prayers last time her little girl had made great improvements to the point that they started talking going home.  Today though is a big set back and I am so sad for her because they really thought she would be home by xMas...  Her baby is almost 6 months old and has never left the hospital.BTW Stacie has tried to get on but has endured some of the same problems others had and she just doesnt have the time to work it out.

Well, today was not one of Noelle's finer days. Her gas this morning was horrible and had a CO2 of 96. Needless to say, she is back on the high flow cannula at 1.5 liters. She has another gas tonight and if I had to guess...I'd say her flow will get higher with tonights gas. She is working pretty hard to breathe and had lots of desats throughout the afternoon. When she wasn't desating, she was hanging out sat'ing in the low 80's. Her oxygen is sitting between 70-75%. She has also started to do that horrible cough thing again. She never really stopped doing that after surgery...it just was not nearly as bad. But...today was pretty bad again.

Dr. Workie came in to give me an update today and has decided to stop bottle feeding her for a while. I think this is probably a really great move...maybe it is just too much for her right now. Why push her if we can always fall back on the g-tube?! Also, Dr. Workie just prepared me for the fact that she may not go home before Christmas. Everyone knows that was our goal date for getting her home and hopefully she will improve without her feedings to get her better...but there is never a sure answer of yes or no! I'm kind of counting it out. I'd much rather not expect her home for Christmas than be perpetually disappointed that it didn't happen....

Thats all from me tonight....kinda disappointed...but what else is new when it comes to my favorite little girl having a setback smile
