If so, how many miles do you drive each day?
I drive 160 miles/day! I'm trying to sell my house so I can move closer to my job, but the market is really slow right now.
I saw on the car thread that some of you commute to and from work, so I was curious how much other people drive.
Up until about 2 months ago I was driving about 45 minutes each way if the traffic was good. About 35 miles each way I think. I hated it and I am so glad I don't have to do it anymore!
About 60 miles round trip for me.
I drive about 50 miles round trip and that's way too much driving for me! But I try to entertain myself during my commute by finding interesting radio shows or listening to books on tape. ....
Did I mention that I am a bit of a geek? lol
45 minutes each way; 60 minutes when you count stopping to drop Justin off at daycare. Ugh! But I can't afford to live in the area where I teach.
I'm in Nebraska and drive across the "city" to get to work and it takes 15-20 minutes but seriously every road is under construction!!! It's so annoying!
DP commutes 90 miles roundtrip 3-4 times a week and when I do work (its per diem) I usually commute about 60 miles roundtrip, but it depends on which patient I am seeing, sometimes its less, but not usually more. Originally we lived 1 block away from DP's work when we first moved here, but then we bought a house in a good school district and closer to my MIL. She loves her place of work, as do I, but once she is finished with her masters (DEC, YAY!) she may move jobs. My commute has always been about the same, give or take.
I used to commute about 60 miles round trip, but found a job close to home. When we bought this house, my #1 requirement was that it be VERY close to work, and now I work 2 miles from home. Our mortgage is a little higher than we would have liked, but I'm saving on gas and car expenses and seeing my kids as much as possible, and it is SO SO SO worth it.
I commute 84 miles a day. My Mom watches Rylee and I figure that even though I spend alot of time in the car that I'm saving money and she loves her Grandma! I have a Ford Focus and get 33 miles to the gallon and 95% of the drive is Highway driving. A triple bonus is no Daycare germs!!! Rylee has only had 1 cold in her 2 1/2 years.

Wow, it is all I can do to get through my 11 minute drive to work! You guys have my admiration!
Fortunately my commute to work is in the 10-15 minute range, nothing to complain about...however, reading this post took me back to a few years ago when I was finishing my degree and commuting 140 miles round trip 5 days/week to and from classes--not to mention during this drive I was crossing a mountain pass where I could not get cell reception or radio stations and had a hunk of junk car! Oh, those were the days--long gone now, but I swear I still have a difficult time being stuck in a car for extended periods of time.
I commute about 45 minutes to an hour each way. It sucks. Without traffic it would be 30 minutes tops.
My job is about 16 minutes from home and daycare is about 11 minutes from home so I lucked up! And when I go back to school that's 5 minutes from my work so it works out well for living in DC & working in Maryland!

up until 8 weeks a go I was commuting 1 hour each way. My job was eliminated and I now work (part time 
) 10 minutes from home.
Right now it is about 50 miles r/t. DH is about 55.... opposite directions...
I have applied for a job as a school nurse at the school that is across the street so my commute would be about a 35 second walk..... fingers x'd!!
This was one of my sore points when I first moved to this three-horse town.
My "commute" is only 8.5 miles each way ........ but it TAKES 30 minutes each way. There are literally 32 stop signs/stop lights between my home and my work. 
I have about a total of 3 hours commute time. Its 150 miles a day, 5 days a week. it really sucks but I live in CA and commute in to the bay area and cant afford to live near work. I have a 7 month old and its VERY awful to be gone from her for work let alone all that commute time. However, Im very lucky because my mom watches her and even comes to my house every day! So thats the great part!
An hour door to door if I take the subway. 50 minutes if I ride my bicycle into Manhattan. I miss driving a car, but hearing about these commutes, I'm delighted that I don't have to drive to work.
Currently my commute is 32 miles each way. That doesn't sound bad, but unfortunately the traffic is horrible here and it normally takes me anywhere from 1-3 hours each way.
I do about 50,000 a year. I don't break it down daily or I would probly be sick.I go through two sets of tires a year.And I do oil changes every two weeks.
I drive about 40mins each way. I leave early so I can drop Ds off at daycare leaving me enough time to nurse him before I go. When we moved here it was while still pg and we thought I wouldn't have to go back to work, but with the economy and all the way it is we decided we couldn't risk me not working.
holy cannoli! i can't believe how long some of your commutes are! i live in another town from where i work now, technically, but i can get to work on the highway in only less than 10 minutes. the total driving distance is only about six miles each way. when my baby comes, the drive to daycare will add another fifteen minutes (i estimate) and ten miles each way to the commute.
