Anyone know any tricks that are said to aid in Ovulation??

For the cycle that we conceived Ray, we initiated "Plan Humpy-Hump"... which if you can't tell... is to have lots of sex.  We figured all the hormones from the activity would help the egg develop and mature and convince it that there was some action coming that it should get excited about.   On a serious note, I have read that increased sexual activity (even for lesbians) can aid in fertility.   Also, it is very bonding during a time when you are so focused on the sperm and the OPK and the timing and such... and can also be relaxing which can aid ovulation.  Oddly enough, we did not engage in any sexual activity the day of the inseminations... but also found that relaxing.  We had had DP orgasm with previous inseminations and found it to be a little awkward.  It was so nice that cycle to have all the bonding up until that point and then just to focus on the insemmination on the day of.  There of course was lots of snuggling afterwards. cool

As far as thawing recommendations... I read somewhere that the faster the thaw the better.  We would pull the vial out and let it warm up enough were we could touch it.  Then I would put it in my bra for 5-10 mins to warm it up.  I think it is impossible to not warm it up enough... because even if it is cool when it goes in to your body, it will warm up very quickly once inside of you.

Katherine===Don't worry!! The thawing process is very easy!! You can see when it is fully thawed and we just set it out for about 7-10 minutes then Put in my bra for about 5....

You have to ask for it when you order. They will not tell you the count over the phone either. You have to wait until you get your paperwork with your sperm to find out.

This is the first time we try at home.  I'm a little nervous about the thawing and etc.

We are planning on the ICI about 10-12 hours after +opk, and IUI about 12 hours after that.....

I am nervous about the IUI, although I have researched and researched so much!!! smile

What were you ladies thinking??
