Finally I can say I had a good experience with a doctor. Today was my first visit with a RE and she was wonderful (and expensive). My uterus is fine but it seems that my ovulation is weak. She wants to make sure my tubes are not blocked before doing a medicated cycle. I have to have 12 lab test (and HSG too) and then if everything is ok, do my first UI with a doctor. She has no problem using NW, although she uses another bank.

(UPDATE)

After multiple blood tests and HSG my RE suggested three options:

a- laparoscopy to clean up some adhesions and then IU (if it fails, in vitro)
b- a medicated cycle and pray that the egg(s) can pass through the adhesions (if it fails, in vitro)
c- go directly to an in vitro to increase the chances of pregnancy

So, taking into consideration that I have little time (38 next month) and I have already spent more than $5,000 (five unsuccessful attempts, opk's, etc), I decided for an in vitro cycle. Will be a financial sacrifice, but I really, really want a child.
If you know in vitro success stories, please tell me.

Baby dust to all of you

I honestly feel like I won the lottery.

After I had a complicated miscarriage (blood transfusions, surgery, several days in the hospital...ugh) my luck with TTC seemed to be at an all-time low. And to make matters worse, I ran out of the vials from the donor that would've enabled me to have a full-sibling to my kiddos. The doctor I was working with discovered I had cysts on my ovaries and wanted me to try clomid...FOR A YEAR. She either doesn't know or care how fast the costs add up doing it with donor swimmers. Miraculously, somebody sold back vials of my original donor and I became the elated new "owner." After a couple months with no luck (and extreme crankiness on clomid), I decide to take the summer off to think about something other than TTC and just enjoy my family.

The lottery began when I was able to buy more vials of my original donor. I won the lottery in August. If my luck continues to hold out this time, I am due May 10, 2011.

I am not letting many people in on my secret. I was nearly out of the "danger zone" (first trimester) when I miscarried last time. I am hoping AND PRAYING that things will go better this time. I figure that I can put in a little extra message on my Christmas cards and let people in on my miracle at that time.

It's hard to let myself feel the excitement. I am mostly scared to let myself want it too badly. But, at this moment, I am giddy with joy. It worked. Finally!!!!!
